The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

Hike to Muir Woods National Monument

On Saturday, the 17th of August 2019, a group of 25 postdocs went to Muir Woods National Monument. Surrounded by mist, they hiked along the Panoramic trail as they made their way towards the Monument. With no cellphone signals to distract them at the site, the tall and magnificent Redwood trees got their complete attention. While the hike back was uphill and tough, the view of the forest was fabulous.
