Hike to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve

During the weekend 7-8th of June, BLPA postdocs and their friends visited Yosemite National Park. They hiked in Mariposa Grove and at Upper Yosemite Fall.
On May 10, 2025 our postdocs changed the hiking environment into Oakland. They enjoyed a walk around Lake Merritt admiring lake and Botanical Garden at nice weather.
On Saturday, May 3, the BLPA hiking group explored the Pacific coast and reached the Alamere Falls.
On Saturday, April 5, we we hiked Mount Diablo all the way from the foot of the mountain to the summit via the shortest route. After the steep inclines we were rewarded with amazing views in all directions.
Another Saturday and another BLPA hike. This time we explore waterfalls in the Mt. Diablo State Park on March 15, 2025.
On March 1, 2025, our hiking group went to the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. We enjoyed the spring weather in nature and explored remnants of lime-processing industry that helped rebuilt San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake.
The BLPA organized another hiking trip on February 15, 2025. This time we went to the Mission Peak from Ohlone College near Fremont. We enjoyed a nice winter day with beautiful views of South Bay, Mount Diablo Range, local flora and fauna including many cows and a coyote.
