The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

Sunday, September 4, 10am, Hiking in Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park

BLPA is happy to invite you to our first hike this month this Sunday (09/04) in the Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. This hike is a 6-mile loop trail (West Ridge and French Trail Loop) with a total elevation gain of ~900 ft. The trail passes through the heart of the redwood forest, which is the largest remaining natural stand of coast redwood found in the East Bay. The route is considered moderately challenging and it may take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. Also, a significant part of the hike is tree-shaded. Please see this link for more details.
