The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

BLPA Board Elections

Date: Monday, February 19, 2024 – Sunday, February 25, 2024. 

Looking to gain leadership skills? Want to become more involved in postdoc events around the lab? The BLPA is happy to announce the upcoming elections for board members, which will take place from Monday, February 19, 2024 to Sunday, February 25, 2024. 

According to the bylaws, all LBL employed and affiliated postdocs are eligible to hold a board seat if they:

  •  are a BLPA volunteer (sign up here with your LBL email address); and
  •  have attended at least one Committee and one Board meeting (check out the calendar); and
  •  have co-lead a BLPA event or activity

The application form will be sent out by the Election Committee. All interested candidates should fill out the application form by Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 5:00 PM. If you wish to join the board, but don’t think you meet the requirements for board membership, please reach out to us at postdoc@lbl.gov and we can try to arrange something for you.
