The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

Site visit

On October 14th (Monday), we will organize a site visit to Cerebras, a computer systems company in Los Altos dedicated to accelerating AI research.  If you are interested, RSVP here.

The Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine (WSE) with vastly more silicon area than the largest graphics processing unit, is the heart of their deep learning system. We will leave from the lab at 8 am and lunch will be provided at the end of the site visit. The maximum number of participants is 15.
