The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

Interns-Postdocs Networking Session

We invite you to take part in a Networking Session for our LBNL interns – “I’m a scientist, ask me anything!” on Wed, October 28th, at 10:00 – 11:30 am. Sign up here.

LBNL interns will have a chance to network with postdocs in the breakout rooms and ask us about the Lab, being a scientist, our work, and interests. It’s meant to be an informal networking session.

We also invite you to take part in the Halloween activity!

Activity Description:
With Halloween just a few days after this meeting, we’ll have an opening activity to get into the holiday spirit! All meeting attendees (hosts, interns, and BLPA members) will say hello, and share the following: 1) first name, 2) the person/character they decided to dress up as this year, and 3) what kind of research project you imagine this character would choose to work on. Please note that your character’s research project does not have to be related to science, technology, engineering, or math! We encourage you to dress up for the Internship Meeting. However, if you prefer to share a photograph of your costume, you can do so by sending the file to everyone via the Zoom chat feature when it’s your turn to share! If you don’t have a costume, you can still pick a character and research project to share with the group!

Sign up in this form. We will follow up with you next week with details of the event.
