We would like to share with you the outreach opportunity during the City of Oakland’s Summer Town Camp. As part of the Lab’s K-12 STEM Education program, the Lab will provide hands-on science activities for children from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
With 17 separate locations, Summer Town Camp is a great opportunity to reach students from across Oakland’s diverse communities, expose them to science and educate them about Berkeley Lab.
- Date/Time: Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2, 2019 – 1 to 3pm

- What: Berkeley Lab will facilitate a week of STEM activities during Oakland’s summer town camp. This will be the second year Berkeley Lab has participated.
- Activities: Day 1 – Building Paper Bridges/Structural Engineering, Day 2- Chemical Reactions/ Building a Database, Day 3 – Paper Circuits.
Training sessions will take place on Monday, July 22nd – 99 am- 11 am and Tuesday, July 23rd – 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Training sessions typically take about 2.5 hours.
