The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is an organization run by and for about 1000 postdocs and early career scientists working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We organize many activities to strengthen our ties to the Lab, to each other and to the (Berkeley) Bay Area. Our goal is to facilitate social interactions, scientific exchanges, seminars and general orientation.

Berkeley Science Review – call for pitch

Berkeley Science Review – call for pitch

Would you like to share exciting research findings from UC Berkeley with the greater campus and community, and improve your science communication skills? The Berkeley Science Review is a magazine produced by UC Berkeley graduate students, and we’re currently looking for editors and pitches for articles for our Fall 2016 issue. Check out our most recent (Spring 2016) issue online, or pick up a print copy around campus, to see what we do.

Write an article for the magazine

Articles in the BSR magazine range from very short (250-word labscopes) to quite long (4000-word features). Whether you’re someone who just wants to try out science writing or someone who want to delve into and explore a particular topic in depth, we have an option that will work for you.

Want to write an article, but don’t know what to write about? Check out our suggested idea list, or get in touch if you’re having trouble deciding. If you’re unsure how to write a pitch or what type of article to write, take a look at our guide.

Pitches for Fall 2016 are due by Monday, June 20. Please send your pitch or any other questions about writing to sciencereview@gmail.com.
